FOOTHILL REBATE PROGRAMS

 Landscape Design Rebate

Foothill MWD Landscape Design Rebate is an add-on incentive to the Metropolitan Water District (MWD) Turf Replacement Program (TRP). Foothill is providing a $1000 rebate to incentivize customers to design their native gardens with professional landscape architects. This rebate requires the applicants to apply to the TRP and submit their landscape design plans to MWD’s Turf Replacement Program via socalwatersmart.com. The submitted landscape designs must be approved by MWD staff or its designated representative. Documentation(s) and proof of approval from MWD’s TRP program via a “Letter to Proceed” shall be provided to FMWD for the rebate approval. MWD is providing an exemption to the TRP “existing turf” requirement for Altadena homeowners whose landscapes were damaged or destroyed by the Eaton Fire.

Spray to Drip Rebate

Foothill Municipal Water District (FMWD) offers rebates to customers that replace overhead spray irrigation with low-volume drip (or microspray) irrigation. Low-volume drip irrigation systems are designed to slowly apply small volumes of water at or near the root zone of plants, and are more efficient that overhead spray irrigation systems. Please visit our website at www.fmwd.com for more information on our Spray-to-Drip rebate program.

Residential & Commercial Water Efficiency Surveys/Audits

Foothill MunicipalWater District (Foothill) offers the water efficiency surveys for customers in the District’s service area. The survey provide detailed analysis of the customers’ indoor and outdoor water usage. The audits include appliances efficiency assessments, irrigation inspections and recommendations based on the findings.
