Foothill Municipal Water District is developing a program to promote water conservation and more efficient use of water. This program may include rebates, educational programs on water wise landscaping, cash-for-grass programs and more. The conservation program will be funded from the District’s regular operations budget. There are many ways that consumers can make more efficient use of water, thus conserving a resource too precious to waste, without affecting their lifestyles. Since the vast majority of water use is for outdoor irrigation, this provides the greatest opportunity for more efficient use of water. Some outdoor water-saving tips:
