Five staff are assigned to operating Foothill's distribution system. This staff schedules water deliveries from Metropolitan and to our Member Agencies. Additionally, they provide mainteneance duties for much of the system.
These individuals also play an important role in enabling Foothill Municipal Water District to comply with increasingly stringent water quality regulations and to maintain a high level of water quality.
The District’s role in water quality maintenance continues to expand. Foothill MWD does not normally treat the finished water we receive from the Metropolitan Water District but our staff does expend considerable effort in maintaining and monitoring the quality of water we distribute to our seven retail member agencies. Although small by Metropolitan standards, our in house laboratory allows testing for a fairly large number of quality markers.
One of the many advantages in working for a small district is the variety of areas to which we all are exposed. You never know what may come next and we are always busy. There is never a dull day here at Foothill MWD.
